This scalene right triangle canvas transforms a grid of simple shapes—rounded squares containing triangles—into a map of shifting moods and energies. The colors transition from warm reds, oranges, and yellows at the peak, through vibrant greens and cool blues in the center, down to grounded browns and grays at the base. Each triangle points in varying directions, suggesting movement, change, and multiple paths forward. The piece becomes both a chart and a journey, reminding us that direction is as much about perception and choice as it is about destination.

The artwork features a grid of colorful squares, each containing a centered triangle. The squares have rounded corners and are filled with a range of vivid hues—warm reds, oranges, and yellows toward the upper section, cooler greens and blues in the middle, and darker browns, blacks, and grays toward the bottom.

Inside each square, a triangle—sometimes upright, sometimes inverted—is painted in a contrasting color, creating a visual rhythm and variation. The repetition of the basic square-and-triangle motif gives the piece a sense of order, while the shifting colors and triangle orientations introduce playfulness and movement.

The gradient-like arrangement of colors from warm to cool to neutral creates a journey for the eye from top to bottom, evoking transitions such as sunrise to midday to dusk, or emotional shifts from energetic to calm to grounded.

It was painted with premium acrylics on a custom-cut canvas. Colors in the painting include red, yellow, orange, rose pink, lavender, violet, sky blue, cerulean blue, navy, mustard yellow, gold, forest green, emerald green, mint green, turquoise, ultramarine blue, chestnut brown, burnt umber, gray, silver, gold, and black.
